Later in life, Eric embraced competitive cycling, achieving victories such as the State of Georgia Individual Time Trial Championship and triumphing in the Assault on Mt. Mitchell—a race known for its punishing terrain. These accomplishments reflect his unwavering determination and ability to adapt to new challenges.
